How costs are worked out

We do not publish a price list. Costs depend on which tooth, which material and how many visits the work takes, so a list would be misleading. After the examination and X-rays you get a written plan with itemised costs, and you decide what to go ahead with. Payment plans are available for larger treatment.

Treatments

Check-ups and hygiene

About 30 minutes. We chart your gums, check existing work and take X-rays if needed; a scale and polish usually follows in the same appointment.

Implants

Placement takes one appointment, then the bone needs a few months to hold the implant before the crown goes on. You get that timeline in writing at the start.

Fixed braces and clear aligners

For crowding, gaps and bite problems. The first appointment is a scan; we then say how long treatment is likely to take and what it involves week to week.

Zirconia crowns

Two visits: preparation with a temporary crown, then fitting. We shade-match at the first visit so the lab can make the crown to that shade.

Root canal treatment

For an infected or painful tooth. Usually one longer appointment with local anaesthetic; you are told beforehand how long to allow.

Children's dentistry

From first teeth onwards, about 20 minutes. A look, a fluoride varnish if it is due, and a talk about brushing that the child can follow.

Questions about treatment

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. For larger treatment such as implants or orthodontics we can spread the cost over an agreed number of months. We set it up at the practice and explain the terms before you commit.

How long does an implant take from start to finish?

Placement is one appointment, then a few months of healing before the crown is fitted. The exact stages and their timing are written into your plan.

Will a zirconia crown match my other teeth?

We take the shade at the preparation visit and the lab makes the crown to it. Zirconia has no metal inside, so there is no grey line at the gum as it ages.

Not sure which treatment you need?

Book an examination. You get X-rays, a look at the problem and a written plan with itemised costs.
